The Reel is a free local information service. These terms are meant plainly.
Information and its limits
The Reel gathers and presents events, public information, editorial work, and practical local updates. Some information comes from sources the Reel does not control, and details can change. Confirm time-sensitive information with the original source before acting on it.
The Reel is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice. In an emergency call 911 and rely on the responsible official service. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, without warranty.
Submitting information
When you send information, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate to your knowledge. You give the Reel permission to review it and, when it is intended for public use, to edit it for format and clarity and publish it. Nothing is published automatically, and the Reel may decline, correct, unpublish, or withdraw material.
Do not use the forms to spam, harass, impersonate someone, upload unlawful material, or probe the service. Public submissions may be rate-limited or refused to protect the site.
Corrections and removal
The corrections page explains the available paths. The Reel reviews correction, source, privacy, and removal requests. A request does not guarantee a particular result or deadline. Withdrawn content returns not found rather than leaving a public tombstone.
Sponsored material
Every paid item is labelled Sponsored. Payment does not buy editorial influence. Medical information, obituaries, and alerts never carry sponsorship. The Archive may carry a clearly labelled placement when it reopens.
Ownership and sources
The Reel's original writing, design, and code belong to their respective owners. Facts remain facts, and material drawn from an outside source remains that source's work. Source links and credits are part of the record. If you reuse information found here, credit the original source where one is named.
