Meet The Heron

I’ve given the Reel’s news and notices section a name and a new front page: The Heron.

Useful local information gets scattered. A town notice appears in one place, a community announcement somewhere else, and a story worth reading slips past while we’re busy with other things. Bringing those pieces together is one of the reasons I built the Reel.

The Heron gives that work a clearer home. You can browse by topic, search for a subject, or look through the latest posts. Sources remain visible so you can see where each item came from. There’s also a separate section for writing from the Reel Journal.

The event calendar still has its own place. So do sports and the daily puzzle. The Heron is where you can catch up on news and notices from around Antigonish, then follow what interests you.
