NEW WORK

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Jewells Bridge, Main-A-Dieu

Jewells Bridge on Louisbourg Main-A-Dieu Road will be closed for replacement from Tuesday, September 8, until Friday, October 2.

The detour route includes Main-A-Dieu Road and Trunk 22.

CONTINUING WORK

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trunk 16, Upper Big Tracadie

Trunk 16 will have alternating lane closures until Wednesday, September 30, for culvert replacement.

Signs and traffic lights are in place. Work takes place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Campbell Brook Bridge, Sydney

The Campbell Brook Bridge on Keltic Drive is closed for replacement until Wednesday, September 30.

The detour route includes Route 305, Northwest Arm Road and Route 239.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Catalone Lake Truss Bridge, Catalone Gut and Bateston

The Catalone Lake Truss Bridge on Mira Bay Drive is closed until Monday, November 30, for replacement.

Traffic control and detour signs are in place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Howie Centre, Sydney River

Trunk 4 from Aspen Grove Road easterly to the Exit 6 eastbound off-ramp from Highway 125 will be reduced to one lane until Wednesday, September 30, for roadwork.

Work takes place Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Barnhill Bridge, Belmont

The Barnhill Bridge on Belmont Road, located between Cross Road and Plains Road, is closed until further notice.

Detour signs are in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Edmund Lynds Bridge, North River

Route 311 between civic addresses 1333 and 1457 is closed for replacement of the Edmund Lynds Bridge until Monday, November 30.

The detour route includes Route 311, Upper Brookside Road, Brookside Road and Mountain Lee Road.

Detour signs are in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Truss Bridge, Truro

The Salmon River Truss Bridge connecting Walker and Main streets will have alternating lane closures for roadwork until Wednesday, September 30.

Work takes place daily from sunrise to sunset; signs and traffic lights are in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Upham Bridge, Bayhead

Upham Bridge on Trunk 6 is closed until further notice for repairs.

The detour route includes Malagash Road, Highland Road, West Tatamagouche Road and Slade Road. Detour signs are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Country Harbour Cable Ferry

The Country Harbour cable ferry will be out of service for about eight weeks starting Wednesday, September 2. The interruption in service is needed to complete the dry-dock inspection and maintenance required by Transport Canada every five years.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344, Aulds Cove

Route 344 from one kilometre south of Highway 104 southerly to Loggie Street has alternating lane closures until Wednesday, September 30, for roadwork.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Enfield

Highway 102 between Exit 7 and Exit 8 will be reduced to one lane at times both northbound and southbound for construction in the median.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until Saturday, October 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Robinson Road, Shubenacadie

Robinson Road between Meadow Drive and Mill Village Road is reduced to one lane until Saturday, October 31, for roadwork.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Cenotaph Road, West Bay

Cenotaph Road from Big Brook Road northerly for about three kilometres is reduced to one lane until Friday, October 30, for roadwork.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Little Mabou Road, Port Hood

Little Mabou Road between Main Street and Trunk 19 is reduced to one lane until Friday, October 30, for roadwork.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103 Twinning, Hubbards to Chester

Highway 103 from two kilometres west of Exit 6 to four kilometres west of Exit 7 has temporary lane closures for blasting until May 2027.

The work is planned for most weekdays at about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for about 10 minutes at a time. The eastbound and westbound lanes are both closed during the blasting. Traffic control is in place.

There will not be blasting or lane closures on the following:

after noon on Fridays

holidays and days before holidays

weekends.

PICTOU COUNTY: East River West Side Road, Millstream

East River West Side Road from Millstream Road to Bridgeville Road has alternating lane closures until Wednesday, September 30, for paving.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Moore’s Ford Bridge, River John

The Moore’s Ford Bridge on West Branch Road is closed until further notice.

The detour route includes West Branch Road, College Grant Road and Route 256.

PICTOU COUNTY: River Road, Springville

River Road from Springville Road to Churchville Road has alternating lane closures until Wednesday, September 30, for paving.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 374, Hopewell

Route 374 from Old Marshdale Road to Mark Road has alternating lane closures until Friday, October 30, for paving.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Welsford Bridge, River John

The Welsford Bridge on Old Pictou Road is closed until further notice.

The detour route includes Old Pictou Road, Allen Road, Trunk 6 and River John Road.

PICTOU COUNTY: Stellarton Intervale Bridge, Stellarton

The Stellarton Intervale Bridge on Bridge Avenue is closed in both directions as a precaution until further notice.

A detour is in place via Highway 104.
