Town Announces New Residential Waste Collection Contractor

The Town is pleased to announce that a new contractor has been selected to provide residential waste collection services beginning October 1, 2026.

With the current contract coming to an end, the Town undertook a tendering process for continued residential waste collection services. Following this process, the Town has entered into a new five-year agreement with Eastern 2.0.

What Residents Need to Know

Collection Schedule Remains the Same

Residents will continue to follow their current curbside collection schedule. There will be no changes to collection days as part of this transition.

New Collection Provider

Beginning October 1, waste and compost collection services will be provided by Eastern 2.0, recognized by their blue collection trucks.

Potential Change to Yard Waste Drop-Off Location

The location for yard waste drop-off may change. The Town will provide further details as soon as they are finalized.

Lower Waste Fees Coming

As part of the new agreement, residential waste fees will be decreasing. More information regarding fee changes will be shared in the future.The Town looks forward to working with Eastern 2.0 and ensuring residents continue to receive reliable waste collection services.
