New Residential Waste Collection Contractor Effective October 1, 2026 The Town is pleased to announce a new contractor has been selected for residential waste collection services (clear bags and compost). The current contract expires at the end of September. What stays the same? • Your curbside collection schedule will not change. • Blue bags (recyclables) will continue to be collected by GFL and managed by Circular Materials. What's changing? • Waste and compost collection will be provided by Eastern 2.0 (look for the blue trucks!) • The yard waste drop-off location may change. More details will be shared soon. • Residential waste fees will be decreasing. Additional information will be announced in the future. The new contract takes effect October 1, 2026.
