A new chapter for arts and culture in Antigonish has begun. Last night, closing night at the Bauer, just before the theatre closes for major retrofit construction, Festival Antigonish and Antigonish Culture Alive formally signed an MOU to move the Antigonish Arts Centre Project forward together. The vision is bigger than a new theatre or gallery. It is about creating a welcoming, year-round place for performance, visual arts, music, dance, film, learning, mentorship, creativity and community life. FAST and ACA are stepping forward as Founding Partners to help steward the work, and to invite many more voices into shaping what comes next. A place to create, gather and belong.
