March is Music Therapy Month. St. Martha's Palliative Care department has a Music Therapist Program, originally funded by the Foundation through community donations and now a Nova Scotia Health position.
The St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation has released a statement recognizing the Sisters of St. Martha, who will conclude their role as hospital sponsor later this year after founding the institution in 1906. The Foundation states its commitment to supporting the hospital remains unchanged.
March is Pharmacy Appreciation Month. The pharmacy team at St. Martha's works with patients and care teams to ensure individuals receive the right medications for their care plan.
